We are a table tennis club based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Our aim is to provide table tennis playing and coaching facilities for players of all ages, especially young people. New members are especially welcome.
Sessions take place on Friday evenings from 7:00 pm until 8:45 pm at St Albans Girls' School (STAGS) in Sandridgebury Lane (off Harpenden Road), AL3 6DB.
The cost is £7 per person per session.
No special clothing is required except for gym shoes or trainers and lightweight comfortable clothing, tracksuits or sports clothes. No white or orange tops or jeans please, as these make it difficult for opponents to sight the ball.
The next Club Night will take place on Friday 29th May. This will again be held in the Assembly Hall at the front of the school as the Sports Hall continues to be used for school examinations.
Please note that this situation will continue into the second half of June, contrary to the information in the below Newsletter.
Sam Walker will be leading the last of three special coaching sessions. See the paragraph below for more details.
You will find the club's future schedule by clicking the Future Events button at the top right of this page.
Sam Walker is England's No 4 ranked table tennis player. He has travelled all around the world to play in international competitions including the Olympics and Commonwealth Games. He is pictured below with Head Coach Peter Jenkin.
Sam will be leading coaching sessions at this club on Fridays 16th, 23rd & 30th May. These will be limited to 8 players per session for a total cost of £17 per player, including the usual £7 entrance fee.
Demand for these sessions is always high so anyone interested in participating is advised to reserve their place quickly. They will take place in the Dining Hall next to the Assembly Hall.
